Allwyn to Acquire Camelot Lottery Solutions, Expanding US Footprint

Allwyn, an international lottery corporation, is purchasing Camelot Lottery Solutions Group, the present manager of the Illinois Lottery. Camelot LS, with headquarters in Chicago, is being divested by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board. This acquisition will not result in any immediate executive alterations within Camelot LS. The firm will maintain its operations in Illinois, where it oversees the state lottery via a private management contract. In addition to Illinois, Camelot LS holds a partnership with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery and a technology sector that supports lotteries and participants throughout North America and Europe. Both Allwyn and Camelot LS have conveyed their pledge to ethical expansion and optimizing income for the areas they serve. Wayne Pickup, Chief Executive Officer of Camelot LS, stressed the mutual commitment to client support, player involvement, and producing funds for significant initiatives in Illinois and elsewhere.

Global gaming giant, Allwyn, is poised to purchase Camelot Lottery Solutions (Camelot LS), a strategic maneuver that emphasizes Allwyn’s ambition to be a dominant force in the American lottery arena. The transaction, anticipated to finalize in the first quarter of 2023, will establish Camelot LS, renowned for its lottery proficiency and technological prowess, as a completely owned subsidiary under the Allwyn umbrella.

Allwyn’s Chief Executive, Robert Chvátal, underscored the acquisition’s significance, noting that the United States market constitutes a pivotal expansion zone for the firm. He stressed Allwyn’s resolve to elevate the lottery experience through technological advancements and creative solutions, ultimately propelling revenue growth for charitable endeavors and amplifying player participation.

A profound dedication to the lottery industry unites both Allwyn and Camelot LS, with a shared focus on customer satisfaction and optimizing returns for local communities. This unified perspective is apparent in Allwyn’s recent triumph in securing the UK National Lottery concession, succeeding Camelot following their 28-year stewardship.
