The Jersey Shore is ready to ring in the New Year with a celebration you won’t soon forget! Casinos are going all out, featuring spectacular celebrations, curated menus at their finest dining establishments, live entertainment, and breathtaking performances. Imagine lavish meals, dancing until dawn, and endless bubbly. And remember, the holiday cheer doesn’t end after December 25th – Atlantic City keeps the festivities rolling throughout the season.
Mark Giannantonio, President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, is enthusiastic: “Atlantic City is the ultimate destination for this New Year’s Eve! We’re thrilled to welcome visitors to our incredible city for an unforgettable weekend.” He also expressed gratitude to the dedicated individuals who keep the casinos operational: “As we wrap up 2022, we are incredibly thankful to our entire workforce for their commitment and tireless efforts in ensuring our patrons have an exceptional time.”
Even with recent challenges, Atlantic City remains a premier vacation destination, and there’s significant optimism for expansion in the coming year. This follows a year where the majority of casinos successfully negotiated new agreements with the primary casino workers union in July, leaving the Golden Nugget as the sole entity still in discussions. It’s a stark contrast to the early days when Resorts Casino debuted in 1978 as the first casino outside of Nevada – a true game-changer!
The vibrant metropolis of Atlantic City sits on Absecon Island, New Jersey. This lively destination neighbors other notable locations including Absecon, Brigantine, Ventnor City, and Egg Harbor Township. Interestingly, Atlantic City served as the basis for the renowned board game, Monopoly. The properties players purchase and trade within the game are representative of actual streets found in Atlantic City!
