This reorganization follows Catena Media’s Q1 2024 financial report, which revealed a 49% year-on-year revenue drop. The report, deemed “underwhelming” by interim CEO Peter Cadner, emphasized considerable challenges within the North American sports wagering sector.
These difficulties, attributed to heightened rivalry and diminished marketing expenditures from operators, come after similarly unsatisfactory Q4 2023 outcomes. Consequently, Catena Media has been actively pursuing fresh leadership, including the recent additions of CEO Manuel Stan and CFO Michael Grou.
Carles’s professional journey commenced in 2012 as a Website Product Manager at QuinStreet. Following a two-year tenure, she moved to Searchmetrics as a Senior Product Manager, subsequently assuming the role of Head of Product at MarketMuse in 2018. Before joining Catena Media, Carles held the position of Senior Director of Product Management at CafeMedia.
Following her tenure at TMZ, where she spearheaded digital product evolution and planning, Yasmin Charles assumed a position at Catena, which she maintains presently.
In 2022, she achieved another milestone by co-establishing SYNQ, where she currently directs product and technological aspects.
