BetMakers Acquires Punting Form to Revolutionize Horse Racing Analysis

The Australian gaming tech firm, BetMakers, is purchasing Punting Form, a business renowned for its groundbreaking utilization of information in the realm of horse racing. Punting Form employs AI to examine equine racing performance, surpassing conventional measures to provide what they term “sectional time ratings.” Envision it as dissecting a race into segments and scrutinizing a horse’s performance within each portion. This furnishes a more comprehensive and arguably more precise understanding of a horse’s potential.

BetMakers perceives this acquisition as a significant enhancement to their standing in the business-to-business sector, especially within the sphere of horse racing. They intend to incorporate Punting Form’s distinctive data and technology throughout their entire operation, with an initial emphasis on their managed trading services.

This acquisition will also empower Punting Form to broaden its scope. They aim to introduce their “sectional time ratings” to the North American market and other crucial regions such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

BetMakers’ Chief Executive Officer, Todd Buckingham, views this acquisition as a transformative event. He contends that “sectional timing” represents the future of race analysis and is an indispensable element for any reputable handicapping system. He is equally enthusiastic about the expertise that Punting Form contributes to BetMakers.

Digital wagering tech firm, BetMakers, based in Australia, has purchased racing data and analytics company, Punting Form, for a sum reaching as high as $26 million AUD. The agreement involves an initial payment of $9 million from BetMakers, with the possibility of an extra $17 million in earnouts over the subsequent three years, contingent upon Punting Form hitting specific operational, revenue, and profit objectives. Punting Form will be integrated into BetMakers’ Global Betting Services unit.
