Betsson Doubles Down on Brazil Renaming Suaposta and Expanding Operations

Betsson has gone all-in on the Brazilian market, renaming their latest acquisition, Suaposta, to just Betsson. This comes after their purchase of a 75% share in the company last December, a clear indication of their ambitions for Brazil.

Suaposta, formerly held by Codere SA, was an internet wagering platform for equestrian events in Brazil. The name change is part of a broader collaboration with the Rio Grande do Sul Jockey Club to incorporate Betsson’s system and create a specialized customer support group within the nation.

AndrΓ© Gelfi, who established Suaposta and now serves as Managing Director of Betsson Brazil, conveyed his enthusiasm for strengthening the Betsson name in Brazil and introducing the updated platform. He stressed a dedication to openness throughout the procedure to guarantee a seamless shift for current users.

This action follows a successful year for Betsson, which experienced sustained expansion despite the COVID-19 outbreak. Their Q2 2020 earnings alone reached an impressive 1.7 billion Swedish Krona, a 20% rise year-over-year.
