EM Group Joins Dutch Online Gambling Association NOGA

A Curaçao-based firm, EM Group, which specializes in providing compliance and business services to the online gambling sector, has become a member of the Dutch online gambling association (NOGA). This trade association represents the country’s gambling industry.

EM Group is the second supplier to join NOGA after payment provider Nuvei, which also assists companies in obtaining e-gaming licenses.

The trade body announced in a statement that the company’s membership is “another significant step in its goal to unite the industry.” NOGA aims to “bring together suppliers and providers under a single umbrella and advocate for the collective interests of the industry.”

Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Director of NOGA, commented on the development: “EM Group’s membership is a positive addition to NOGA.

“Its compliance experience in the Netherlands, under the rigorous oversight of the Dutch Central Bank, is a valuable asset for us. It also brings a wealth of additional knowledge and experience, which will undoubtedly benefit NOGA’s members and the broader industry.”

The Dutch regulatory body, KSA, has suggested that the current regulatory framework in the Netherlands might require more stringent regulations, possibly introducing loss caps and initiating an inquiry into potential self-exclusion practices.

Kees-Jan Avis, the Managing Director of EM Group Netherlands, responded to the news, stating: “EM Group is thrilled to become a member of the NOGA family. In addition to the group’s over 15 years of expertise in the sector, we have extensive operational experience in a tightly controlled environment in the Netherlands.”

“Beyond player asset segregation products, EM Group also possesses knowledge and extensive experience operating in the Dutch market, exceeding the requirements of the license.”

“For instance, consider the industry’s objectives and core values regarding honesty and social responsibility. NOGA also shares this commitment, which is why we are confident and trustful in establishing a partnership with them.”
